HALO 80 VS. COMPETITOR – AIGIS has taken the opportunity to test the performance of the HALO 80 Blast Protected Litter Bin against a Competitor Blast Bin.

While both blast bins were tested against the same explosive charge size placed centrally inside both of the bins, the HALO 80 had the additional challenge of 6mm steel ball bearings, unlike the competitor.

The HALO 80 Blast Bin was left completely intact with no fragmentation and therefore also contained the ball bearings. The TABRETM absorbed the majority of the blast energy and what was left was directed vertically, which would protect any surrounding persons in a public situation. The competitor bin was completely destroyed and would have provided no protection to the public whatsoever.

The HALO 80 Blast Protected Bin has been tested to the most recent UK Home Office stringent test standards and is the second of the Aigis Bomb Proof Bins to receive an official star rating, alongside the TC95 Blast Bin.
