NEW! IU2000 CARGO Unit

July 2011 - Aigis would like to introduce the new Threat Containment Unit IU2000 CARGO, the ONLY bomb containment unit able to contain a pallet or crate.

In conjunction with a major global transport company, we have modified our existing bomb containment unit IU2000 to accommodate suspect packages, pallets and crates weighing 500kg or more whilst maintaining protection against explosive blast.

Following the discovery of the ink cartridge bombs on a cargo plane at East Midlands Airport and in Dubai in October 2010, the use of cargo shipments as a disguise for explosive devices is a concern. The IU2000 CARGO unit is the solution by containing the suspect item and removing it from the premises for examination and resolution by police and bomb squad whilst business operations continue at the cargo hub, avoiding costly evacuation processes and unnecessary disruption to delivery deadlines.
