AIGIS Threat Containment Units: how airports can avoid evacuations when a baggage/luggage is detected as unidentified.

Used in major airports worldwide, the range includes the IU2000, which caters for the largest hold baggage, and the IU1200, which more than accommodates the IATA maximum size hand baggage.

AIGIS Threat Containment Units enable the airport to act immediately, often avoiding the need to carry out operating procedures such as ICE (Isolate, Cordon and Evacuate), thus enabling the Airport to continue operating rather than face costly and disruptive evacuations.

Recently, a major US airport was closed for several hours at a cost of an estimated $3.5 million, due to the evacuation of passengers and airport staff, leading to missed flights, the need to replace out-of-hours aircrew, and the diversion and cancellation of many other flights.
