
Global Security Challenge chooses the five most promising security startups in Europe.

Five high-tech companies were selected as Semi-Finalists for the European-leg of the Global Security Challenge on October 2nd in Munich, competing to earn $500,000 and mentorship from leading venture capitalists, such as Germany’s Siemens Venture Capital group.
Organizers of the international competition seek to highlight the world’s most promising security
technologies. The winner of the European Semi-Final will compete against winners from the
American and Asian leg at the final event hosted by London Business School for a $500,000
grant and mentorship from Paladin Capital Group.
The selected semi-finalists for the European Semi-Finals are:
• Psylock (Germany) – identifies users through biometric analysis of typing behavior
• Aigis Blast Protection (UK) – dramatically minimizes damages of explosions through
advanced materials
• Codenomicon (Finland) – defends against online attacks and malware through
intelligent network servers
• Auxetix (UK) – fortifies protection against multiple explosions through helical-auxetic nets
• Laser Detect Systems (Israel) – recognizes explosives and chemicals from 10 meters
distance
